Unemployment remains one of the country’s major challenges. The high level of unemployment dramatically reduces the income of the population as well as the state budget.
The biggest negative result of unemployment is the decline in the output of products and services. Potential production of goods and services is lost without any trace. The main indicator of poverty in Georgia is the high level of unemployment.
The unemployment in Georgia has regional peculiarities. Especially peculiarities are characterized the suburban zones of large cities. The example of this is Gardabani region village Martkopi, where the unemployment situation has arisen and it was nesseccary to find different ways to overcome it. Based on the selected survey examination conducted by us, the reasons for unemployment are set and there are ways to reduce it.
The purpose of the research project was to analyze the unembpoyment problem in the suburban zones of the capital of Georgia, to find out its causes and to determine the main source of unemployment reduction in whole country and in selected specific locations.
The survey revealed that a large number of interviewed respondents are employed in the form of labor migrations in the capital.
Analysis showed that unemployment reduction in the country is needed not only bu one particular method but rather as a complex. Unemployment in the backy and of the capital should be overcome: by optimized for migratory migration, by encourage agriculture, by enabling small enterprises and etc… One of the most important ways to tackle unemployment in the suburban zone of Tbilisi can be the development of tourism.
