Master's thesis is to analyze economic globalization as a modern phenomenon, the essence of globalization and the stages of development, the main challenges and contradictions of globalization in the modern world and in Georgia.
As well as the national economic system in the global economy and the role and functions of the state economy in the current situation, what are the tendencies of national economy development, the economic policy of the national state and globalization in mutual attitudes.
The paper deals with the modern Georgian economy in the process of globalization, what are the prospects of development of Georgia's transit function, tourism development trends and perspectives in Georgia. Prospects and challenges for the establishment of "new economy".
Conclusions have been developed based on theoretical and statistical data of these issues.
