The very first human being has settled on the territory of Georgia in the antient times and since then, the movement of various masses of people have never stopped. Instead, it even increased more and more as the times had passed. What influence do migrations of various type and size have on the economy and life of Georgia? It is as necessary as it is interesting for this lesser researched topic to be studied thoroughly.
The first part of this paper is oriented on discussing economic aspects of migration waves that occurred on the territory of Georgia since creation of the first settlements ‘till the XXI century.
The second part establishes state of migration in modern times. It will discuss various economic effects and promising potentials, also look into positive and negative sides of said migration processes.
As a conclusion there will be summarized discussed topics as well as highlighted those significant moments which we will meet throughout the paper. There will also be statements made about current state of migration in Georgia.
