Niko Samadashvili’s poetry is one of the most renowned in XX century’s Georgian literature. His poetry is multi-faceted and profound in content. Poet uses paganism, Christianity, mythology to express their own word, this everything are so close to each other and sometimes is difficult to understand what did want to say poet. Exactly this ambiguous, symbols, metaphors and allego-ries makes Samadashvili’s handwriting originally.
In N. Samadashvili’s poetry, except themes are important images. The aim of our research is to show the character of the Mother of God and Savior, how they are presented in poet’s work. The issue is interesting in the sense that it is not properly studied. In addition, except this will discuss Betania as a sacral place. (According to the poem „Betania“ by N. Samadashvili.) also we will discuss symbol of bell and bell-tower. Niko Samadashvili’s perception is different from their traditional understanding.
Based on Bible books, Georgian compositions and scientific materials we have tried to find out the above-mentioned issues as far as possible.
