The paper “Word Formation in Nodar Dumbadze’s Creative Works” concerns to the writer’s linguistic peculiarities, in particular, wordbuilding issues.
Generally, any writer or creator should havehis/her own style and individuality. Taling about the creative works of a writer is impossible without taking into consideration the linguistic peculiarities of the author.Word formation can be considered as one of the ways to reveal the linguistic originality of any language. Accordingly, the aim of the paper is to observe, distinguish and classify the formation of certain parts of speech in Nodar Dumbadze's works.The author makes maximum use of the lexical composition of the language to enhance the emotional power of the work of art.
The environment in which the writer grew up had a strong influence on his vocabulary. There is an amazing harmony in the confluence of living speech with the literary language.Nodar Dumbadze's language is so frank, direct and understandable that his works are equally loved by people of all ages.
The research topic is relevant, especially in our time, because the word-painting Georgian language is impoverished today and the native national lexical units are gradually being lost.In such conditions, we think it is important to discuss such an issue as word formation, especially in the creative works of the classic writer Nodar Dumbadze.
Based on the analysis of sources and research results in the paper, the conclusions are drawn, examples are given.
The paper includes an annotation (in the Georgian and English languages), an introduction, 13 paragraphs, conclusions, an explanation of abbreviations and a title of the literature used.
