Abstract
The master degree work is about advantages and disadvantages of the school readiness
program implementation research. (Based on Marneuli municipality example)
The theme actuality is defined due to the term “school readiness” widely used from
2014. Several regulations, laws and training-modules were prepared in this direction. The
program implementation started in 2016, but despite the 3 years period of this program, the
research showing program’s weak and strong points, expectations and results, has not been
conducted.
The aim and purpose of the research represents the research advantages and
disadvantages of school readiness program and the role of the government in implementation
of this program.
The research object -Non-Georgian speaker nursery-schools in Marneuli Municipality,
were the school readiness program is conducted and the schools were the children who were
involved in this program study.
The Research Methodology - this research of “school readiness” advantages and
disadvantages, is a mixed research of Marneuli region seven teachers’ research in
collaboration with parents and two non-Georgian speaker nursery school. The method of the
research is quantitative method, as well as qualitative method. The design of the research is
mixed method.
Target Groups:
According to clustered method in Marneuli Non-Georgian speaker teachers were
chosen, (9 teachers) also public school 1-2 grade teachers, (20 teachers) Georgia language
teachers as a second language teachers (12 teachers), and parents (112 parents) took place in
the research
program implementation research. (Based on Marneuli municipality example)
