Abstract
The master's work “Problems of Employment and Unemployment in Georgia” deals with the problems of the labor market, the characteristics of self-employment in Georgia, various aspects of state employment policy. Our goal was to study the tools of employment policy and complement the existing situation in the country with data from the former Soviet republics. Therefore, I think that the topic that we are studying is relevant. The objective of the survey is to demonstrate that the problems of employment and unemployment in Georgia are related to the economic development of the country, since it is unstable in conditions of unstable growth of economic conditions. A study conducted by the National Statistical Office of Georgia, and official versions of research reports on other international and international organizations. The object of the research is information on the official websites of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the National Statistical Office of Georgia. The main source of our research proves that one of the main differences between the results of public opinion and official statistics is underemployment, when employers do not have enough work and wages are less than the actual subsistence wage. In fact, they consider themselves to be unemployed while studying public opinion; A study of our study showed that, despite the fact that in Georgia in recent years, the employment rate has increased over the past ten years, the unemployment rate in the country is still high. The rate of employment growth over the years has been rather low, and this does not characterize growth. It also shows that current economic growth has not had a significant impact on reducing unemployment.
