Master's thesis is focused on explaining three key directions and role of the Georgian state identity
in the establishment the course of Georgian foreign policy. The theme reviews constructive
approaches where the advantages are given to subjective interests, norms and values, and based on
them starts the state identity construction. The current direction is quite relevant in the field of
international relations, as the reader has the opportunity to see and analyze important variables
other then the material factors, that determine foreign policy direction. The theme reflectes in the
construction of the state identity after the Rose Revolution and overviews the choice of foreign
course as a consquencies of the state identity.
