Abstract
Modern society faces the great significance of gender equality related issues. It is intrinsically
linked to all aspects of life, hence, proper analysis of those issues in the social and economic
context is crucial turning point for further exploration.
Gender inequalities occurred on the labour market of Georgia is one of the main challenge to be
addressed by many international and local organizations thought undertaking effective and
result-oriented actions.
The following paper (Statistics of gender imbalance on the labour Market of Georgia) aims at
analyzing statistics of gender aspects on the labour market and reviews the severity of the gender
inequality problems in the context of Georgian labour market. Likewise, the paper analyses
supportive mechanisms implemented by the organizations, such as followings: UN Women,
Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Union in Georgia, United States Agency for
International Development (USAID), Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency
(SIDA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and others.
On the basis of the average monthly nominal salary statistical information provided by the
National Statistics Office of Georgia, paper concludes, that average income is different for man
and woman on the labour market of Georgia. Furthermore, the paper confirms existence of
gender inequalities in regards with career opportunities in an economically active population.

of Georgia as well. So forth, the fundamentals of the Master’s Thesis are chosen accordingly.
