Abstract
For any country, especially those with weak economies, the development of private entrepreneurship is a prerequisite for both economic and general development. It is necessary for the governments of all countries to provide a stimulating economic policy for the development of private entrepreneurship. As Georgia is a country with a transition economy, it should also be a priority for us to create the environment, which will help private entrepreneurs to develop.
The study discusses the prerequisites, motives and supporting factors for starting an entrepreneurship. It also provides for the State as a contributing factor, as well as regulations that hinder entrepreneurship, or hamper the achievement of the goals of the entrepreneur in the production process.
In addition to the above, the study discusses the main factors affecting entrepreneurship and the reforms undertaken to promote entrepreneurship in Georgia. The study also shows examples of the advantages of a private enterprise as opposed to a public enterprise. The focus is on the existing tax system in Georgia and the impact that taxes can have on entrepreneurial activity.
The study uses general and specific methods such as synthesis, analysis, induction and deduction, comparison and statistical methods, expert evaluation. To determine the relationship between analytical and statistical estimates, is used international organizations, Georgian and foreign economists, both theoretical and applied studies. Data were also used from National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Ministry of Finance, to conduct a proper analysis of specific issues. Specific issues were analyzed by analyzing the events caused by various factors and identifying the magnitude of their impact on entrepreneurship.
