Abstract
Nowadays creativity is considered to be one of the most important factors which cause
companies' success. Constantly changing and renewable market requires creating products and
services that attract more consumers. Companies tend to hire employees who are able to promote
and modernize products. The highest standard of success in the XXI century is characterized by
innovative and creative thinking, which has become the subject of interest for many scholars and
researchers.
The work aims at reviewing the literature on the idea of creativity within the organization.
Three main levels of creativity were identified due to the analysis of the theory of creativity:
individual, environmental and organizational. These levels have an impact on companies' internal
climate and work environment.
In addition, the work covers the main notions related to creativity. Qualitative research
methods used throughout the survey examined 3 startup and 3 small business type organizations,
where focus groups and one-to-one interviews were conducted. Not only employees were
interviewed, but top managers as well which enabled to analyze a wide range of opinions.
The results of the research show that a comfortable and friendly environment is believed to be
a vital aspect of motivation for the creative process. Most of the respondents emphasized the
importance of receiving respect and recognition in addition to financial encouragement which leads
to a desire to create something interesting and different. Also, it's worth mentioning that the more
friendly relationships the employees had, the better feedback was received on the process of their
work, which, in turn, was manifested through the productivity of the organization.
