Abstract
The main theme of the master thesis is studying influence of Emotional Intelligence and
Lokus of Control on the workplace bullying.
Workplace bullying is one of the most problematique issues for organizational psychology.
It includes repetitive, negative behavior exhibited by individuals or groups that is directed
towards another individual or group with the intent to intimidate, degrade, humiliate, or
undermine the target and interfere with their health or safety (Workplace Bullying
Institute, 2015).
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a set of abilities related to the understanding, use and
management of emotion as it relates to one‟s self and others (Mayes et al., 2008).
Emotional Intelligence play an important role in both bullying behavior and also
victimization in bullying. That‟s why the object of the research is influence of the emotional
intelligence on the level of workplace bullying. Besides, discussing these influences in
different demographic sections to find differencies.
There is developed hypothesis and research issues depending on the research object:
H1: There is negative relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Workplace Bullying;
H2: Emotional Intelligence is a predictor of workplace bullying;
H3: There is negative relationship between Sociability and Well-Being:
H4: There is negative relationchip between Well-being and Work-Related Bullying.
326 respondetns were asked by onlinen survey, They were selected by Simple Random
method and all of them were employees.
By the results there is revealed negative relationship between EI and Workplace Bullying,
also the results confirmed second and fourth hypotheses. The third hypothesis is not proved.
There was revealed relationship between demographical dimensions and research constructs
and perspectives for the future research.
