The paper deals with pension system as one of the important components of the social policy of the state. The main purpose of the work is to overview world experience in the field of pension system, Provision of pension system, analysis of the reforms and challenges. There are discussed the example of successful and unsuccessful pension system of different countries.
The paper deals with the meaning of pension system, its basic forms and methodology of pension system, Reforms and mean trends in the pension system are also discussed.
The work consists of the introduction, the main part and the conclusion.
The first chapter deals with the pension system as an important part of social policy, as a way to improve the economy of the country the social condition of citizens.

In the third chapter the conducted research and its results are analyzed.
The need for reform is derived from negative factors such as: quantitative growth of pension age population, reduction of birth weight coefficient, decrease the number of the working age population, migration processes etc. The current system analysis shows, that the accumulated model is an additional component of the pension system that will contribute significantly to the replacement coefficient.
