Abstract
The master's thesis is dedicated to one of the most talked-about issues today: nepotism and the problems caused by it in the current Georgian public structures. The issue of nepotism is very relevant in modern reality and a lot has been written about it, however, the novelty of the paper is the study of its contributing factors and the issues of preventive measures. Nepotism is considered unethical behavior and effective mechanisms for its elimination are given.
In the paper are discussed the principles and values of modern public management and human resource management strategies. Given that ethics is of paramount importance in the public administration system, there is also a focus on ethical issues in the professional context, which calls into question the transparency of recruitment.
The paper also discusses the factors contributing to the origin and development of nepotism, the "close relationship" between Georgian public structures and nepotism, and finally, what effective steps should be taken by the state to eliminate nepotism, which manifests itself in inequality, inhuman and degrading treatment.
The analysis of scientific ideas is used in the master's thesis, after the analysis of which, based on the relevancy of the thesis, it was revealed as to how serious and how negative the influence of relatives is for the country and each person because nepotism suppresses motivation and opportunities. In conclusion, recommendations are presented that will help public structures to eliminate this vicious approach and establish better, more equal relations.
