Abstract
Every industry has different characteristics of development. The industry’s life cycle
theory makes it possible to find these changes. Especially in the current period, when the temp
of changes in the modern world is accelerated, companies are vitally important to follow these
changes. Globalization has led to a strengthening of competitive struggles, which puts
companies in need of new approaches. If the company wants to succeed, when entering the
field they should develop a strategy, which will bring a competitive advantage. But before the
formation of the strategy it is important to correctly select the field.
The purpose of the work is to describe organizations, which are on the stage of maturity
of the life cycle and their competitive strategies. The main attention is paid to the following
factors: the situation in the field and the competitive situation will be studied, as well as the
internal environment of the companies and competitiveness. Based on the examples of Georgian
companies, the difficulties are revealed, which they encounter at the stage of maturity of the
life cycle. The research presented in the study covers comparative analysis of competitive
strategies used by Georgian oil companies. On the basis of research I identified the main
problems, which are facing companies and the means to overcome these difficulties. The study
showed the situation in Georgian companies and what is customers satisfaction for products and
services offered by them.
