Abstract
one of the important objects of the study is lake Paliastomi. The research substantiates the
importance and priority of the development of Paliastomi lake in the strategic marketing
features of tourism in protected areas of Georgia (for example Paliastomi Lake).
Tourism is of vital importance for Georgia. If we look at the statistics of the last few years, it can
be clearly said that the tourism industry is developing rapidly and creating new business
opportunities. However, social, economic and environmental challenges still arise, such as:
infrastructure, unemployment, low qualifications, pollution, etc. In order to slove the existing
problems it is necessary to share the experience of foreign countries and adjust them to the
Georgian reality. Highly qualified personnel should be trained according to modern
requirements, establish appropriate infrastructure, properly disseminate information/advertise
through televisions and social networks in order to make optimal use/benefit of the country’s
economy and people’s well-being.
