Abstract
Georgian winemaking history counts centuries, that’s why modern world recognize our country as “The homeland of wine”. Nowadays wine is produced by many countries, and Georgian wine may be lag behind in terms of high-tech production or quality, but Georgia has its own unique product, The qvevri wine, which has no analogues in the world. That is the product that can take on itself global chalange of wine industry. Georgia has offered a unique product to the world's monotonious wine market and thus once again confirmed that the honorary title is not just empty words. Wine export is very important in the Georgian economy, according to the small number of products, which is exporting the country, wine in the top ten (5% in whole quantity). That's why a number of works are being conducted in terms of studying wine export potential and identification of its prospects.
The following theme consists of four chapters, the first part considers the trade balance of Georgia and its quantitative indicators, main products and wine export dynamics. The second chapter is dedicated to the deep and comprehensive free trade agreement with the European Union and its results in discussing the export of Georgian wine. The third chapter presents the factors contributing to the wine export by the state and private sector projects separately. In the fourth chapter, we had researched wine companies that are selling their product in international market and as a result of logical discussions we present you very interesting conclusions.
