მულტიმედია საშუალებების მნიშვნელობა სოციო - კულტურული ტექსტების შესწავლისათვის ინგლისური ენის გაკვეთილზე

This paper presents a research on the efficiency of applying multimedia tools for
educational purposes, specifically while teaching socio-cultural texs.It is based on the course -
,,Multimedia Tools in the Process of Learning and Teaching”, taught at the faculty of
Psychology and Educational Sciences,Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
The topicality of the thesis follows from the following provision:
1.National purposes of general education. One of the purposes is developing a pupil into a
tolerant citizen, who has a skill of mutual respect and is able to live in harmony in culturally
diverse world.
2.Law of Georgia about general education. In the sphere of general education one of the
aims of the state policy is developing pupil’s respect for cultural values and the state is
responsible for providing conditions for achieving this aim.
3.National curriculum of Georgia. Its aim according to the above mentioned provision is:
1.to develop in pupils skill for comprehension of different cultural contexts and texts; 2. to
develop positive attitude towards cultural diversity. The purpose of the research is to define the
importance of using multimedia tools in the process of teaching/learning sociocultural texts.
The novelty of the research ensues from the fact that according to my investigation of the
related materials and researches, similar research does not exist.
