Master’s thesis on the theme « Restorative justice and its impact on resocialization - rehabilitation of the offender»The paper analyses the problems that are most relevant in the current criminal procedure- The goals and objectives of diversion and mediation from the point of view of restorative justice. The main purpose of the work is to determine the impact of the activities of the above-mentioned institution, analyse the problems and their impact on both the perpetrator and the victims. The article discusses the general definition of resocialization as an event, a historical development of restorative justice, to have a sense of where this institution comes from. Mediation and divercion objectives, principles and entities, the roles of the participants in the programme and the responsibilities entrusted to them, both minors and fully-fledged. Restorative justice in foreign countries is also discussed. The master’s thesis consists of an introduction, four chapters and nine subsections and a conclusion. Annexed to the article is a list of the literature used and information in the form of annexes containing statistical information.
