Abstract
After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, its constituent states began to move towards independence, freedom and development. Although, even today, in the 21st century, Russia is trying to bring back the old days and to intervene in the domestic and foreign policy of each country, the post-Soviet countries still steadfastly oppose to returning to the Soviet Union.
One of the countries is Ukraine, current foreign policy of which is unequivocally focused on the West, NATO membership and European integration. Despite the "annexation of Crimea", it is not afraid of Russia's intentions and tirelessly follows the path to Europe.
A turning point in the history of Ukraine was the "Revolution of Maidan", which played an important role in the formation of Ukraine as an independent, free country. Most importantly, the Ukrainian people have won on this path. They have clearly and loudly expressed their will and desire.
The paper addresses Ukraine's foreign policy, what course it has chosen, which path it has followed and what path it is following today. What is relationship of Ukraine as one of the largest countries in Europe with the post-Soviet countries, as well as with the European Union and NATO? The paper discusses Ukraine after the Revolution of Maidan, as a country that, despite the Russian occupation, still continues its path towards the West. Here you will be acquainted with the opinions and assessments that will more clearly show the current reality in different contexts.
