Abstract
The article presents new archaeological finds from the site of Atskuri in Southern Georgia, which throughout the centuries served as administrative and religious center of the region. All major stratigraphic horizons of the site — from the Bronze Age through the Roman period, are analyzed. Objects of Greek and Achaemenid appearance — typical for the strata dating from the Greek periods — help to examine the ways in which these objects were brought into this region and the paths of their distribution.
