Abstract
The presented master's thesis "The purpose of learning games / methods in the process of foreign language teaching" introduces the role and importance of games in schools and the learning process, as well as the extent to which learning activities help to simplify the process of learning a foreign language.
Both qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as empirical research, mass teacher survey and student survey are used. As for the purpose of the research, based on theoretical material, analysis of survey results and empirical research, it was found out how actively teachers use different learning activities in learning a foreign language, how intensively children are involved in them and whether these activities support to increase students' motivation and develop the learning skills.
Interest in foreign languages is growing day by day. In order to manage the learning process successfully, it is necessary to take into account the requirements and needs of language learners. This is why teachers try to diversify the lesson process with different activities and make it interesting for students. Accordingly, this topic is quite relevant.
In addition to the theoretical part, the final part presents the questionnaire required for the research and the percentage table of the obtained results, which clearly reflects the urgency and need of the topic.
