Abstract
Since 2012, Georgian government has been trying to build a democratic state by developing planned reforms and implementing them in Georgian economic space. A democratic state is based on the principles of justice, freedom, the rule of law and respect for human rights, inviolability of property, free business, an independent judiciary and equality and access to the media, education and medical care.
Government of Georgia is consistently working to strengthen and uphold the rule of law, so that the activities of law enforcement agencies and the independence of the judiciary are in full compliance with European standards. Ensure and inviolable freedom of expression and independence of media involvement. To provide equal education, healthcare, improve social programs, create as many jobs as possible and overcome poverty for any citizen of Georgia.
Georgia's full integration into the European space remains a priority. Developing and strengthening democratic institutions, maintaining a balance between high standards and economic growth, promoting small and medium-sized businesses, encouraging entrepreneurship and business, and integrating the country into the world economic system are the main priorities of Georgia today.
The steps taken in 2018-2020 form a solid foundation for the social or economic development of the country in the long run
The country's economic development strategy is primarily based on free market principles, where the private sector is the main driving force of the economy. Along with the high economic growth of the country, its qualitative indicators are also important. The government’s economic policies are aimed at responding to the structural challenges accumulated over the years in the country's economy. It is also aimed at maximizing the potential of human resources and increasing efficiency, development, rapid development of infrastructure and the introduction of open governance principles in the private sector, especially small and medium-sized businesses as the main driver of economic growth.
