Abstract
Inclusive education is an approach that aims to engage children of all ages in the curriculum,
regardless of their abilities and difficulties in the process of learning.
For students with special educational needs in the process of inclusive education : an individual curriculum is created, learning progress is constantly being assessed, the individual curriculum is changed, various support measures for integration into the learning environment are implemented for them to get the same perfect education as children with typical development. However there are many difficulties with this issue and one of them is the readness of teachers to involve the children with special educational needs in the process of inclusive education: how well the teachers create individual curriculum, how well they work with their pupils, how well they use individual curriculum and how they end the school year.
The relevance of the theme: Although inclusive education has started in Georgia since 2005
and the field is constantly changing, there are still problems with teachers’ attitudes. There are not many studies on this issue in Georgia, which are more focused on the organizational, infrastructural and socio-economic factors of the introduction of inclusive education. Therefore, research data on teacher acceptance and readiness for inclusive education are less available. However, this factor is the subject of intensive study in the modern world.
This research will reveal how prepared the subject teachers are for working with children with special educational needs, how well they are familiar with inclusive education, what difficulties they face during the learning process and how they cooperate with their parents, special education teachers and psychologists. All this is important for the proper course of the learning process.
It has been interesting to see if the willingness of teachers to introduce inclusive education has increased in recent years.
The goal of the research: The purpose of the presented research is to study the readiness of teachers of students with special educational needs and to determine their attitudes towards inclusive education...
