Abstract
In recent times, the issue of domestic crime, especially violence against women, has been actively debated. Among murder cases, the percentage of homicides committed on the grounds of domestic violence has increased significantly, which requires effective justice in this category of cases. For a long time, family conflict was perceived as a "personal" affair and the state did not undertake to protect the victim from the abuser. Today, the issue is being discussed more openly, the state institutions are set up to combat domestic violence and neighborhood officers tasked with responding to domestic violence and preventing, assisting victims. There is a 24 hour hotline.
Given the complexity of the dynamics of violence, not all laws can be tailored to a particular case, at which point the role of judges is crucial in how they understand and evaluate each detail that can make it easier for victims to access justice. Therefore, the state systematically new mechanisms and improving legislation that will greatly facilitate the protection, assistance and rehabilitation of victims. The role of the court is important and invaluable in eliminating domestic violence.
To achieve these goals it is necessary to work in the following directions:
• Refinement of Legislation - Amendments to legislative issues should be preceded by a common position taken by various specialists (psychologists, lawyers, sociologists, police officers and journalists).
• Educational work - Initially, domestic violence should be discussed by qualified experts with professional experience or work experience.
• Development of networking - Coordinated work of centers and organizations working on domestic violence, based on a jointly developed strategic plan.
• Growing public awareness - Disseminate existing literature on domestic violence, activate the role of the media, inform the public about the existence of counseling centers and preventive measures.
