In the face of the current global economic crisis and the Koronavirus pandemic, Georgia faces the priority task of increasing the volume of companies-exporters and their products on the world market and strengthening their international competitive position. Under these conditions, the development of a national system of support for exporters, increasing their competitiveness, has great theoretical and practical significance, and the need for such research is becoming increasingly important.
The paper discusses the theoretical and scientific-methodological bases of state support for exports. The state bodies and international organizations of the export regulation system have been analyzed, as well as the main measures and subjects of support for national exporters.
The paper focuses on the analysis of the rich experience of developed and fast-growing economies in the modern world, as well as the export support system in Georgia, the structure of exports and the problems and ways to overcome them, which characterizes the support system of exporters.
A survey was conducted on the issues of state support for exports in Georgia, which was based on a pre-compiled questionnaire in the survey of respondents. Based on the material studied at the end of the paper and the research conducted, conclusions are made and practical suggestions are made.
