This research is an attempt to describe the digitalization process of Goergian government procurement system and its impact on business sectors. The main instrument of the research was a survey, which was sent to 3220 suppliers registered on the State Procurement Agency web site. We received 283 survey responses from these suppliers. By analyzing the responses, it can be concluded, that the digitalization of the state procurement system has had unambiguously positive effect on reducing the level of state corruption, reducing the size of bureaucracy and increasing the overall level of transparency. Furthermore, most of the suppliers registered in the procurement system think that the reform increased their sales and reduced some transaction cost like tender entry fee, transportation and time costs, cost of preparing tender documentation etc. However, it should be noted, that the survey responses about the benefits of sales growth and cost reduction came mostly from large and medium- sized enterprises, when micro and small enterprises mostly stated that their sales growth caused by the digitalization was insignificant or the sales didn’t even increase. The same goes with the responses about cost reduction. However, micro and small enterprises were positive about the effects of transparency, corruption and bureaucracy. The research also showed that micro enterprises are more concernd by the need of further reduction of government corruption than small, medium and large enterprises. In general, the survey responses make it obvious that smoother legislation and decreasing existing barriers will help enhance the system. It is important, that the survey was mostly taken by the suppliers of construction works, whose response rate was much higher than the suppliers of goods and services. Despite the uneven proportions, the responses were mostly the same regardless the sector of the supplier.
