Effectiveness of international trade in conditions of globalization of the economy

The purpose of this paper is to present the theoretical and methodological foundations of international trade research.
It is impossible to develop a country without the development of international economic relations. Anyway, all countries in the world are involved in international trade, because none of them can be self-sufficient and provide their own production and population.
With the international division of labor, the country always needs it to import resources, consumer goods and services. The main source for covering import costs is export.
The first part of the paper deals with the evolution of theoretical views on international trade, discusses the role of international trade in the world economy and presents methodological foundations for analyzing the effectiveness of international trade.
The second chapter of the paper discusses the key factors for the development of international trade. In parallel to this chapter, we will talk about globalization as a tendency for the development of the world economy.
As for the third chapter of the paper, there is a tendency for international trade development in Georgia. Georgia can share the successful example of other countries and implement its own practice. The same chapter presents the dynamics of Georgia's import and export and the factors affecting it. At the end of this chapter, the prospects for increasing Georgia's trade potential are discussed.
