The aim of the foregoing topic “Coverage of social issues in Georgian media” is to determine: how often Internet Publications selected by us cover the social problems or issues;
Whether coverage of all the social issues is paid equal attention to or not; How the subject varies and also, which social issues are covered by our Online Media most frequently.
The subject of the research is web pages of Online Media Publications: "Liberali", "Tabula" and "Netgazeti". The study period is 12 months (from January 1, 2016 until January 1, 2017).
While working on the Master's work, we have used quantitative and qualitative methods of content analysis.
The research has revealed that"Netgazeti" is equally interested in educational issues and social human rights violations;It has almost the same interest in health care and employment/unemployment.
In terms of frequency, "Tabula" covers social issues with the least intensity and here too it pays equal attention to social human rights violations, as well as the educational and health issues.
Agriculture related issues have also come to the interest of "Tabula".
In terms of thematic priority, "Liberali" is most interested in healthcare issues, then social human rights violations and education. "Liberali" draws less attention to "unemployment/employment", too. "Liberali" did not publish any publications about agriculture, like Netgazeti.
