Abstract
This Master’s Thesis studies the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the
organizational development.
Corporate Social Responsibility is a challenging issue in the business sector of the western
developed countries. Having a responsible approach from companies’ side is a reasonable choice.
Due to the pace of globalization, this issue is also becoming topical in Georgian reality.
It is worth mentioning that well-established and conceptualized theoretical and practical
norms of Organizational Development (OD) from the practice of the developed countries are
becoming gradually crucial in Georgia.
The topic of this master’s thesis is especially interesting in terms of lack of literature and
researches conducted into Georgian language regarding corporate social responsibility, as well as
organizational development. Up to this date, the issue of corporate social responsibility in point
of the role of organizational development has not been studied. Precisely, this issue is the research
topic of the given master’s thesis.
The research aims at identifying the impact of corporate social responsibility on organizational
development by considering the case studies of Georgian companies.
The main research objective is to highlight key impacts of corporate social respontibility upon
cultural and social sub-systems of the organization.
