Abstract
Nowadays, feedback has crucial role in the development of individuals and organization, in terms
of achieving their individual or mutual goals. This enables to direct and support employees to
work effectively and efficiently, considering the needs of the organizations. Based on the
importance of the topic, the research aims at studying the types and characteristics of feedback in
organizations, using the example of Georgia. The objectives of the research were to find, whether
there were forms of feedback in the organizations in Georgia; the attitude, the issues that were
related to the process of feedback. The first, literature survey and analysis was curried out; then
quantitative research method was chosen for the relevancy with the topic. The target of the
research were people employed within the organizations. 147 respondents participated in the
internet survey. The following were revealed as a result of the research: some type of feedback
exists in the organizations. The attitude of respondents towards the feedback is following: the vast
majority of them considers it important, feedback impacts on the efficiency of performance. In
terms of negative feedback: the respondents consider that it is important for performance
evaluation. The problems and issues that are connected with the feedback were: great number of
respondents found it difficult to answer, because they had not received or given feedback, also,
respondents considered that there were no openness and acceptance of feedback. But, overall,
respondents consider that feedback, those who received it, had positive impact on their
performance. Thus, based on the findings of the research: it is reasonable if organizations focus on
introducing, adapting and using the performance management and feedback. Organizations
should not just copy the methods, rather they have to modify them according to the organization
culture, to bring changes, for the improvement and development of organization and individual.
Also, it is worth to emphasize, how important it is to learn delivery and acceptance skills of
feedback.
