Abstract
Master's thesis - "National Aspects of Homo militaries in Coverage of Sports Competitions”
studies and analyses the phrases used by Georgian sports journalists or reporters during
reporting. These two relationships:from this point of view, thecrossing of the military and the
national discourse is very interesting, that sports competitions from the beginning became a
rhetorical, formal or carnival form of the real wars, battles or military competitions.
TV broadcasters, broadcasting the important sports events, in which Georgian sportsmen
participate, have been selectedfor the study. Based on the massive sports competitions selected for
our survey, the research objectsare: the first channel of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB),
TV Company "Imedi" SILK TV and live (live) reports on Facebook page of sport.adjara.com.The
research period was determined in accordance with the schedule of holding large sports events,
from the Rio Olympic Games held within the period from 2016 till Basho of May, 2019. The
following sports competitions have been discussed in the research: the Rio Olympics 2016, the
Judo Championship in 2018, Georgian Rugby Championships in the European Championship
in 2018-2019. Also tournaments in Basho of the months January and May 2018-2019, the
Open Championship of Germany in 2018 and Open Championship in China.
