Social capital is a matter of concern in many countries and Georgia is not an exception. Social capital includes the interactions between groups and individuals based on trust, cultural and religious factors, considering the interrelation of these components with Economic development, the presented topic is more relevant. In this case trust is an essential as it has a fundamental importance in business and economic activities. Despite the fact that there are a lot of work on social capital accomplished by various authors, the innovative aspect of performed research is a combination of establishing connections and interaction between social capital and economy.
However, the aim of the work is to show the importance of social capitalin the Georgian economy.
The role of social capital in the development of the Georgian economy and the quality measurement of social capital in this context will be examined, so that the work reveals the role of social capital in terms of economic aspects. The research is based on the sources listed below, the main used methods include analytical studies of gained data such as scientific studies, research papers as well as additional qualitative research method- structured interviews with various members of the community, including experts and the relevant stakeholders. The work includes all the major issues, which reveals the interaction between social capital and economic parameters.
