Abstract
Job is an actual issue in our society; this issue comes in different ways, this being unemployment, finding desired job, being satisfied with payment, free time and specifically job satisfaction.
According to researchers, the job is one of the most important determinants of happiness. The studies have shown that employed and unemployed people assess their happiness differently. This is due to many specific factors, but summarizing them gives the outcome, that job is important factor for happiness. However we should not think that, just having a job directly proportional to happiness. (World Happiness Report, 2017)
My research is precisely meant to understand the factors which determine job satisfaction and how well the job itself performs assigned role in our reality. Is the job source of human happiness? Or is it just source of income? In addition the goal of my research was to find out, how important is the role of choosing profession and ways of choosing, also how being employed on own profession in future affects job satisfaction.
I obtained the answers to these and other questions as a result of research. The picture revealed is that most respondents view the job only as source of income. Based on the results of the survey, this picture may be explained by the fact that a large number of people do not choose the profession themselves, which in my opinion definitely gives the result that the people do not like what they do. Another thing revealed by the results of the survey and which represents quite a problem is that a large number of adults are not employed by their profession. This leads to the fact that people still do not do what they love or desire. Of course payment inadequacy and lack of free time due too fact, that job takes most of lifetime, are also important factors, which prevent human happiness.
