Abstract
The paper aims to explore the role of special education teacher in planning process of inclusive education. Inclusive education is being implemented gradually and step by step at schools of Georgia, therefore, there are many various opinions around the issue. Regarding the fact that this is quite new topic for our society, it is important, how the process is going on, what kind of challenges do the schools meet regarding the issue. Despite the fact that there have been conducted many studies about this topic in Georgia, the paper is distinguished by the fact that there has not been done any research about the role and practical work of special education teachers. At the beginning of the research there was identified the goal of the research: to determine special education teachers’ involvement in studying process from theoretical and practical perspectives. In order to reach the research goal, there have been formulated study objectives:
• To identify the role of special education teacher based on the existing regulations during working process with children with special education needs.
• To observe special education teachers’ competence in performing their professional role (their awareness about existing regulations, knowledge they own, required skills and etc.)• Existing practice – how special education teachers actually participate in studying process.
