The thesis “The Role of innovation in organizational business processes development” is written in
order to earn a Master's Degree in Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and in program
Organization Development and Consulting.
For an organization, being innovative means the ability to come out with new ways of thinking
and acting, which can help not only to reduce time and cost but as well improve or develop new
processes and products/services. This will eventually help the organization to gain a competitive
advantage and become the market leader. Accordingly, the modern business environment requires
innovation.
This work widely discusses what does an innovation mean, what does it mean to be innovative and
the various classifications of innovation will be described. This work provided various models of
innovation as a business process and how it evolved in time. Based on theory, innovation business
models were generalized as a theoretical model of innovation business process and was described
in details the activities of the organization at each stage.
