Abstract
Child assesment is of utmost importance during preschool education because of its
educational purposes. Assessment process durign early ages is related to a lot of challenges, since
children develop in four main directions: physical, cognitive, social and emotional, however,
not coherently. Every child hasd individual level of his/her development.
Exhaustive information is provided through the assessment to every interested party –
teachers, parents and experts of education. They analyze on which stage of development a child
is, how effective their chosen teaching methods are, how they achieve educational goals with a
child and how they should plan the next educational year. The assessment during the preschool
education aims to reach the abovementioned goals. Therefore, child assessment practice
research during preschool education is actual.
Within the scope of this master’s thesis, we have analyzed legal framework and national
researches regarding child assessment, which made clear that in Georgian modern reality, there
is no significant research/source related to child assessment practice research during preschool
education. Therefore, this research, conducted on the abovementioned topic, is original and
novelty.
Taking into consideration that the thesis has research nature, we are not formulating the
hypothesis at this stage and belive that this is the subject for later work.
