Abstract
Price of Petroleum market is importance for the competitiveness of the country’s economy.
Therefore, it is important that price of oil products should not high, which can be caused by uncompetitive behavior of companies operating in the market. Non-competitive action of markets subjects may have negative impact on the whole economy due to the importance of the sector. That is why there is a significant competition in the oil products market.
The objectives of the work are to identify the hindering factors of competitiveness of the Georgian market of oil products and to develop recommendations on increasing competitiveness on the basis of petroleum market analysis.
For the research area, the oil products market is mainly meant for transport oil products (automobile fuel). Additionally, some part of the survey also deals with the natural gas used by vehicles as fuel.
The work consists of four chapters, in the first chapter reviewed by "The Georgian Market Review of Petroleum" - analyzes the existing legislative framework on the Georgian market of oil products, qualitative norms of petroleum market. The second chapter is discussed the current situation in Georgia's automobile fuel market in 2004-2014 and the practice of pricing. The third chapter is the structure of the oil products market and is characterized by major players. In the fourth chapter, there are international oil prices and factors affecting it.
