From the history of relations between the Georgian state and the church (1991-2002)

The Georgian Orthodox Church plays a positive role in the life of the Georgian people and state. It remains one of the strongest public institutions in the country today.
The character of the master’s thesis is to show the nature of the relationship between the Georgian state and the church and its benevolent factors historically and especially in the Post- Soviet reality. Chronological framework covers the period 1991- 2002- the period from the restoration of Georgia’s state independence to the concordat.
The topic is important as a scientific problem, but given the socio-political processes taking place in Georgia today, it also has a great social impact and interest.
The text contains an annotation (in Georgian and English), an introduction, three chapters divided into seven paragraphs and a conclusion, which is accompanied by a bibliography.
Beside the published sources and scientific literature, the work is based on the material I have compiled through the method of oral histories, which first enters the scientific circulation and allows the problem to be discussed from a different perspective.
The model of the relationship between the Georgian state and the church is different in the past and today, its change was conditioned by specific epochs, as well as by the form or nature of the state.
