საქალაქო ტურიზმის დაგეგმვისა და განვითარების სტრატეგიები თბილისის მაგალითზე

The present work proposes to analyse the urban tourism planning and development stratagies on
the case of Tbilisi. The work is divided into three parts. The first part presents the theoretical and
practical aspects of urban tourism development, the second part discusses the strategic aspects of
urban tourism planning and management, and the final part discusses the potential of urban
tourism development in Tbilisi.
The methodological basis of the work represents the scientific literature on urban tourism and the
data obtained by the author during the field work that was conducted in Tbilisi, in 2018. The
analysis of conducted interviews with the foreign tourists, tour-operators and tourism experts

enable us to shed light how to plan tourism and use resources optimally at capital level and what
challenges Tbilisi face today. The study focuses also on the spatial distribution of tourist flows in
the context of Tbilisi and destinations remained beyond attention.
