გიორგი წერეთლის სარედაქციო პოლიტიკა გაზეთ „დროებაში“

The newspaper „Droeba", which was published in 1866-1885, left the indelible mark on the Georgian life of the second half of XIX c. It is recognized as the first European edition.
Several editors have been replaced by „Droeba". Our special interest is the first editor of the newspaper, George Tsereteli, who defined the direction and character of the newspaper as well as its structure.
There are some fundamental works that the authors of the Georgian Journalism discuss in the context of the development of the newspaper „Droeba" and its editors and, in particular, George Tsereteli. His editorial policy has not been the subject of the study before.
The goal of our Master's Thesis is to find out how the paper corresponds to the European standard and what is the difference from the previous editions.
We mastered all the numbers from March 4 (16) of 1866 to 10 (22) April 1869; We looked at the structure and financial policy of the newspaper during the period of George Tsereteli. What is the attitude of George Tsereteli as the editor to the literature, who are authors of published texts, the editor’s choice and so on. We have created Frequency charts and diagrams, which gave us an opportunity to make some conclusions.
