ნატოსა და ეუთოს მიერ ასიმეტრიული საფრთხეებისგან ევროპის უსაფრთხოების უზრუნველყოფა: შესაძლებლობები და გამოწვევები

Global security environment has fundamentally changed in 21th century that was caused by appearing new types of threats or reanalyzing old threats with respect to globalization. Among them asymmetric threats took the special attention, which radically changed already existed perception toward warfare and demanded different tactics from international society than it was before.
On the other hand asymmetric threats are growing so rapidly, that states are unable to find relevant solutions on time. Even such states as European democratic republics, are facing a huge hassle in fighting against them.
According to the fact, that sometimes it is very difficult to determine where the “red thin line” goes between national and global interests, everybody agrees, that asymmetric threats belong to challenges, which are almost unable to deal with individually. That is why international organizations took on a special role. For this reason, fight against terrorism and cyber-attacks have a pivotal role in OSCE and NATO strategies.
This paper aims to identify the specificity of these threats, analysis already existed experience on fighting against them and define future challenges. There will be also discussed capabilities of OSCE and NATO with regard to defending European security from asymmetric threats and obstacles that they should overcome on this way.
