ტურიზმის განვითარების პრობლემები და პერსპექტივები შიდა ქართლში

Tourism is one of the leading dynamic branch of world economy. Due to its high temp of
growth and economical means tourism is considered as the economical phenomena of the
second part of XX century. 10% of the whole world product and 11,8% of world investments
comes on tourism, almost 10% of world population is employed in tourism.
Tourism in the world, as well, as in Georgia became one of the most significant activities. tourism
stimulates many fields of industry, also development of culture. It’s very important for Georgia,
because nation’s individuality is expressed by culture. There are many cultural monuments in
Georgia and journey is often motivated by the desire to learn culture.
The aim of this study is problems and perspectives of tourism developement in Shida Kartli.
The issue has become espessialy actual since Russian-Georgian war in August. The scientific
work mainly targets on studying cultural, historical and tourism sightseeings in Shida Kartly, as
well as analysing tourism potential in this region
