თანამედროვე ბერძნული ლიტერატურის ქართულენოვანი თარგმანები

The role of translation as the medium for cultural dialogue has become especially prominent nowadays. Contemporary best-sellers are translated into several languages almost simultaneously, immediately upon publication. However, the contemporary Georgian school of translation is somewhat limited in this regard and requires intensive development in terms of translation studies as well as practice. These challenges appear especially important considering Georgia’s the Guest-of-Honour-country status at the forthcoming Frankfurt Book Fair. My Master thesis proposal attempts to at least partially address the mentioned cultural challenges by focusing on Georgian translations of Modern Greek literature.
