It will be possible to use the data of medical geography in the health care system and create different methods of treatment where geographic factors are the most important. At the same time, for Georgia as a country with rapid development, it is important to focus on the health and life expectancy of the population, especially, it will be interesting to compare the different pictures that are expected in the urban and rural settlements, in mountainous and lowlands areas and etc. The human, who is the main active person of the natural and anthropogenic environment, receives vital elements from the environment which reflects on his health, depending on the nature of these elements. also, social environment and behavior is very important.
The aim of the research is to take first steps in the development of medical geography in Georgia, to show importance of this branch of science, as well as to increase interest in its future perspectives.
Thus, it’s important to develop a specific methodology based on the example of medical geographical research, which will reveal the health status of the population, according to different geographical areas.
It’s very interesting for the medical institutions in Georgia, to present the geographical features of morbidity in order to elaborate the appropriate method of the treatment. We have to pay attention to increase involvement of the population into medical geographical researches.
It is necessary to raise public awareness - revealing the threats, which are linked living environment and bringing it to the population to avoid low level of awareness that could be provoke different diseases.
Therefore, this work can be regarded as the first step towards the study of diseases, which are associated natural and social environment and also, the path to the development of medical geography in Georgia.
