The study of the government debt in Georgia is a novelty, because Georgia had no independentgovernmet debt before 90’s and the information about debts in Soviet Union was strictly classified. Therelevance of the theme is due to, as it’s novelty, also Georgia is beiing developed with foreign resources.
The goal of the research is determination of macroeconomic aspects of the government debtregulation and addressing the positive effects of regulating the government debt examined in the workand the possibility of elimination of negative factors to the relevant state agencies.
The subject of research is the study of the government debt impact on the economies of thecountries and the object of the research will be the state debt ratings according to the countries.
As for the work, results and news underlying purpose we will see is that the government debtregulation has numbers of advantages, which our country has been acquired, but there is theaccounting-related problems, the work shows that the Ministry of Finances of Georgia accountingmethodology wasn’t consistent with international standarts, in accordance with the recommendations ofthe work methodology.
As a news of the research results, we can review regressive analysis described in the papaper, whichdescribes different impacts on different countries in terms of connection between economic growth andgovernment debt.
