Our research topic is about the Socialist-Revolutionary Party of Georgia and its activities in the Democratic Republic of Georgia. The topic mainly focuses on research of information found on press pages, historical-comparative analysis and on definition of this party’s politics. Our main goal is to represent main meaning of `Eserta`? party to society and their role in political life of Georgia.
In addition, within the research we aim to discover for Georgian historiography until now unknown sources about the Socialist Revolutionary Party.
We are discussing following issues around the theme: structure of party, lawmaking and agrarian activity of Georgian Esers, attitude towards other Georgian political parties. We have separate discussion about abovementioned party`s attitude with Armenian `Dashkacuthiun`, because this party`s relationship is in context in Georgia-Armenia war.
Also we have presented biographies of certain Eser leaders.
The issues mentioned above are less studied in Georgian historiography, therefore we assume that it is particularly interesting to inform society about these topics. The issue is relevant as far as the political parties are always in the midst of public life. Politics has been popular in Georgia for a long time and Georgian society is politicized. That is why it should be interesting to get to know one of the most prominent party of the first half of the XX century, the Socialist-Revolutionary Party.
