Abstract
Today, Georgia is actively involved in the process of world economic integration, which is due to the liberalization of trade and the creation of a desirable market system for investors. Therefore, it has become necessary to study all the foreign trade processes, which will further help the country to pursue the right trade policy. Research and analysis of the dynamics of international trade, development trends and the current situation are actively underway.
With the development of globalization, the scale of international trade is increasing and the removal of various regulations simplifies the trade process. Such an approach causes countries to become increasingly dependent on foreign trade and, consequently, to promote economic progress. Foreign trade is the exchange of goods between states through exports and imports. It is a very specific field and its prospects depend on the country's domestic economy as well as the world's trade and economic course.
Georgia has faced many economic challenges over the years. A significant problem among them was the negative trade balance, which was caused by the abundance of imports and the scarcity of exports. At the same time, both the world and Georgia have faced a new challenge caused by the new Covid-19 virus. The pandemic has caused significant economic damage worldwide and has had a negative impact on the economic well-being of the population. Georgia was not an exception. Nevertheless, the pandemic is gradually taking shape and the world is focusing on finding ways to overcome the crisis. Anti-crisis measures have been actively launched in Georgia, which allows us to eliminate the current problem and continue the course of development.
