Issues related to preventive measures applied to juveniles in conflict with the law are a very topical issue. A number of circumstances must be taken into account when considering a measure of restraint, especially when the most severe measure of restraint is used, as this restricts a person's liberty. Therefore, when considering a measure of restraint against a juvenile accused in a particular case, all circumstances, the best interests of the juvenile, and, in the case of detention, the possibility of applying other less severe measures of restraint should be taken into account.
The aim of the paper is the integrity of social relations that regulate the peculiarities of juvenile liability in foreign law. It also aims to make clear the issues related to the measures of restraint applied to juveniles in conflict with the law in accordance with both Georgian legislation and international acts.
Depending on the purpose of the work, the following tasks are defined: Basic concepts of juvenile criminal responsibility; Types of punishment imposed on juveniles; Principles of sentencing a juvenile; The peculiarities of juvenile criminal responsibility under the criminal legislation of Georgia have been studied; Types of juvenile liability in the criminal law of the countries of the Romano-German legal system; To investigate the peculiarities of juvenile criminal liability in Anglo-Saxon legal family countries; The types of juvenile liability in relation to the Scandinavian countries are analyzed; A comparative analysis is done.
The structure of the work is determined by the problems, purpose, tasks and logic of the research. It includes: Introduction, six chapters, comprising eight points, conclusion and bibliography.
