This paper refers perception of A HOME in different generations of IDPs from Abkhazia. Issue
of IDPs and their sentiments are always important and urgent issue for Georgia. Internally
displaced people are people who have left their homes but have failed to cross the state
boundaries.
Internally displaced persons have a hard and dangerous road, it is difficult for them to adapt to a
foreign environment, and more importantly, they are suffering from a serious environmental
impact. People are experiencing their daily practices and familiar surroundings, which often
lead to their hard spiritual and psychological condition. The present paper deals with revealing
sentiments, attitudes, feelings and experiences related to the homes rest Abkhazia and currently
located in Tbilisi.
Our research aims to study the sentiments of internally displaced persons with respect to their
home. What is the feeling of the home when it comes to "real" and the current house. What is
the imaginary and remnant in the memory home, whether it is in the experience or if it is
heared.
The following objectives are laid out as per the purpose: understanding A HOME in older
generation who remembers their homes in Abkhazia; Understanding A HOME in young
generation who does not remember / see their homes in Abkhazia; What are these similar and
different sentiments in both generations to their current home and the house that they know in
memory or even only have heared about them.
